An exiting new entry: the "Montecucco"
Montecucco is a “young” wine that obtained the D.O.C. (mark guaranteeing the quality of wine) in 1998. It’s made with Sangiovese grapevines grown on the hill around Monte Amiata and High Maremma (an extended plain between Tuscany and Lazio).
Our tour will lead you among the best wineries in this area to taste award winning wines. We will drive along the “savour’s roads” of Amiata and we will take you to a typical restaurant for lunch.
If you wish, we will stop in Seggiano to visit the amazing “Giardino di Daniel Spoerri”, an eclectic contemporary artist who has chosen Amiata to realize his most ambitious project. Among thousand-year olive trees you will find his works built in a perfect merging with nature. This kind of exposition fascinates visitors from all over the world.
